Volleyball signs blocker

Volleyball coach Claire Lessinger announced Monday the Bulls have received a National Letter of Intent from Alli Arbogast, who will join the program starting in the 2006-07 academic year.

Arbogast comes to USF from Marquette High School in St. Louis, Mo. Playing as a middle blocker, she will provide height up front with her 6-foot-3 frame. Arbogast also posted seven double-digit kill matches and seven matches with five or more blocks during her senior season. She led her team with 100 blocks – 63 solo and 37 block assists – for a 1.3 per game average.

She also netted 222 kills for a 2.88 per game average.

“We are thrilled about Alli’s commitment to USF,” Lessinger said in a press release. “She will give us great depth in the middle blocker position. Her size, at 6-foot-3, will instantly help this squad become more physical at the net. She is dedicated to her development, and I can’t wait to work with her.”
