Volleyball Game Time
USF (7-10, 3-2) at North Florida (10-12, 1-1)
When: Tonight, 7
Where: UNF Arena
The story: The Bulls take a break from conference play and travel to Jacksonville to play in-state rival North Florida. This is the last non-conference match for the Bulls before the Big East Tournament.
The Bulls are in the midst of a two-week, four-match road trip, which will conclude on Saturday against conference foe Georgetown. The Bulls have struggled this season on the road, losing four of five games, including going 0-3 against non-conference teams. If the Bulls intend on shutting down the Ospreys’ offense, they will have to focus on outside hitter Amy Stroder. The junior leads the team in kills per game, averaging 3.75.
Keep an eye on: senior Johari Williams. Williams led the Bulls with 12 points in last year’s 3-0 win over North Florida – the first meeting between the two teams. Williams is coming off a big weekend in which she scored a total of 34.5 points against West Virginia and Pittsburgh. Williams is second on the team in points scored (208.5) and leads the team with a 0.92 blocks per game.
