Women’s basketball places first in preseason poll for fourth consecutive year
USF women’s basketball was selected to finish first in the AAC preseason coaches poll for the fourth straight year on Monday.
The Bulls totaled 166 points and 10 out of 14 first-place votes on the coaches poll. East Carolina was picked to finish second with 159 points and the remaining four first-place votes.
Additionally, junior guard Sammie Puisis was named to the preseason all-conference first-team.
Puisis averaged 15.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game last season. She also made 109 three-point field goals, which was the third most in a single season in program history and fifth all-time in the American conference.
