Former Bulls football player Jon Lejiste has reportedly died, causing many in the USF community to express their condolences and share heartfelt memories.

His body was identified on Tuesday night after it was found floating in the Intracoastal Waterway in West Palm Beach last week, according to The Palm Beach Post

Lejiste was found near Spillway Park, between Harbor and Yale Drives, by the U.S. Coast Guard on May 26 at 9:30 a.m. The West Palm Beach Police Department was notified at 10:15 a.m., according to The Palm Beach Post.

His family had reported Lejiste missing to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office over Memorial Day weekend, according to CBS12.

A Missing Person’s Unit sergeant familiar with the case then heard about an unidentified body discovered in Lake Worth and contacted the West Palm Beach Police Department to see if it was a match. Once the identity was confirmed, authorities contacted Lejiste’s family, according to CBS12.

An autopsy performed by the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner’s Office deemed that his death was not “suspicious,” according to the West Palm Beach Police Department.
