New applicants entered for new AD search

Dan Radakovich, senior associate athletic director for college football national champion LSU, is one of the three latest applicants for the vacant USF athletic director position.

Other applicants include Brad Smith, a John Hopkins cardiology administrator, and Milton Richard, athletic director at Division II Cal-State Stanislaus. Richard spent six years as an associate athletic director at Temple University and two years as athletic director at Kansas State.

Radakovich served as athletics business manager for Miami, associate AD for South Carolina, senior associate AD for Long Beach State and AD at American University before arriving at LSU in May 2001.

The trio brings the total number of applicants for the job to six. Michigan State associate AD Mark Hollis, Troy State AD Johnny Williams and former Cincinnati Reds general manager Jim Bowden all applied before the AD search committee’s first meeting last week.
